Gymnast

Gymnast is a Manchester duo active since 2012, made up of Cathy Wilcock and Chris Lyon. Wilcock provides lead vocals, guitar and electronics, while Lyon plays synth, cello and vocals and handles programming. The group works in a style that sits between alt-pop, trip-hop and electronica.

They are known for performing in unusual locations, including the top of a skyscraper in Manchester, a medieval chapel in Cambridge, and inside the shark’s mouth in the Olympic Park. Their debut single is Geneva, and it is released on Gizeh Records. The group also plans a full album and a national tour.
