Guvna B is a British Christian rapper and recording artist from the United Kingdom, born in 1989. His music spans contemporary Christian, drum and bass, gospel, grime and hip hop.
Career
Guvna B uses his name as an acronym for “Gods Unique Vessel Now Assigned.” He builds his work around Christian themes and describes his aim as countering negativity through music. Based in London, he emerges through the UK urban gospel and Christian rap scene.
He has two independent releases, reaches number one on the Myspace charts for Gospel and Christian rap, and features on a MOBO award-winning album. At 18, he appears on the 2007 MOBO Award winners’ album G Forces. He also signs to Black Grape Productions, a label associated with MOBO award-winning artist Yolanda Brown and comedian Eddie Kadi.
Collaborations and appearances
Guvna B shares stages with Grammy-nominated and award-winning American artists Da T.R.U.T.H. and Lecrae. He also works with MOBO award winners Yolanda Brown, Jahaziel and Noel Robinson. One of his notable recordings is a remix of “Express Train” with MOBO award nominees Four Kornerz.
