Grum is the recording name of Graeme Shepherd, a Scottish electronic artist from Glasgow, United Kingdom. His work sits across house, progressive house, tech house and trance, and he is also described as working in electro, disco house and French pop.

Background

Shepherd is born in 1986. He grows up in Linlithgow, near Edinburgh, before moving to Leeds in 2004 to study a music technology course in Huddersfield. Although later associated with Leeds, his origin is Glasgow.

His debut album, Heartbeats, is released on Heartbeats Music. It is preceded by the single “Can’t Shake This Feeling”. He also releases EPs titled Runaway, Heartbeats and Sound Reaction. Kevin McKay of Glasgow Underground and Mylo’s Breastfed label helps establish Heartbeats as a boutique label for him.
