Grousebeater Sound System are a group made up of Tim Goldsworthy and James Murphy. They form in New York, United States, and are active from 2001.

They are associated with alternative dance, dance-punk, electronic, indietronica, new wave and post-punk revival. A short description also presents them as a Celtic, techno and drum and bass group with connections to Lochinver and Ullapool in the north west Highlands of Scotland.
