Grimm Grimm

Grimm Grimm is the space-folk solo project of Koichi Yamanoha, a Japanese musician based in London and originally from Tokyo. Yamanoha was previously one third of the cult psychedelic punk group Screaming Tea Party. Grimm Grimm operates with a shifting line-up of collaborators, including Le Volume Courbe and Bo Ningen.

The project’s sound combines folk, electronic and ambient elements with space-folk and baroque touches. It is described as drawing on the melancholic beauty and noise associated with Nico, the soundscapes of Eno, the melodies of The Beatles and the otherworldly pop sensibility of Joe Meek.
