One Grain is an emo and post-hardcore band from Ohio. It releases a self-titled 7-inch in 1994, the Trials and Tribulations 7-inch in 1995, and a split 7-inch with Harriet the Spy in 1994. Its songs “Void” and “Untitled” appear on the Hand Made Words various-artists LP, and “Springboy” appears on Board Games To Keep Your Mind Off the Punk Struggle in 1995. The band’s members later form Viva Caramel. Solid Brass Records reissues its complete discography in 2023.

Figure Skater’s solo project

Another Grain is the pseudonym of Figure Skater, used for experimental, noisy and edgy music. The project is abandoned in 2017, then revived in 2022 for the tape HAPA MANIC CONFUSIONAL SITUATION 20162017.

Gaurav Raina’s solo work

Gaurav Raina, one half of Midival Punditz, also records as Grain. Under this name, he works on a solo project and collaborates with Karsh Kale, Monica Dogra and Ankur Tewari on his debut album Grey to Silver.
