Graffiti6

Graffiti6 is a London pop-rock duo made up of singer-songwriter Jamie Scott and writer, producer and DJ Tommy D. The act is active from 2009 and is based in London, United Kingdom. It is also described as a pop, indie pop and soul project.

Formation and members

The duo forms around Jamie Scott, who has worked under the name Jamie Scott & The Town, and Tommy D, whose credits include work with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kylie Minogue and KT Tunstall. Jamie Scott has also toured with Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson.

Recordings and releases

Graffiti6 makes a collection of songs that is later titled Stare In To The Sun. Its title track is chosen for a television advertising campaign for The Sun newspaper after Sony ATV publishing submits the song. The response to that exposure leads Jamie Scott and Tommy D to write and record more material, including “Annie You Save Me,” “Free” and “Stone In My Heart.”

The duo releases music on its own label. The EP Stone In My Heart appears in March 2010, and the single “Annie You Save Me” follows in July 2010.

Recognition and television use

Graffiti6 is named New Band Of The Day by The Guardian and an Artist to Watch at LP33. Its songs also feature on television programmes including Grey's Anatomy, Covert Affairs, CSI: New York and Teen Wolf.
