Golden Core

Golden Core is a Norwegian progressive stoner metal band from Oslo. The group forms in 2014 and stays active until 2025. It consists of Simen Harstad on guitar and Johannes Thor Sandal on drums.

Formation and activity

Harstad and Sandal begin playing together at Fyrhuset music workshop in winter 2014. Their first performance takes place later that year, and they go on to play concerts and tour. They also perform on the youth stage at GranittRock and support Napalm Death.

Style and material

The band writes its own songs and combines stoner rock, progressive rock and metal in its sound.
