Giuda

Giuda are a five-piece band from Rome, Italy, formed in 2007 from the aftermath of Rome punk band Taxi. When Taxi’s run ends after the death of their drummer and singer Ntenda, lead guitarist Lorenzo and bassist Danilo regroup as Giuda. The band’s line-up is completed by guitarist Michele and drummer Alex, who replaces Daniele.

Their music combines 1970s glam rock, pop and the direct delivery of early UK Oi! and punk, with a focus on strong hooks and an aggressive, rhythmic attack. They draw on the sound of bands such as Slade, Glitter Band, Hector, Third World War and Slaughter & The Dogs. Their style is described as both rooted in classic rock and punk and presented in a contemporary way.

Debut album

Giuda’s debut album, Racey Roller, becomes an underground favourite. It is associated with cover art by French designer and glam enthusiast Tony CrazeeKid. Robin Wills of The Barracudas describes the album as combining the feel of Cock Sparrer and The Equals.
