GIRTH

GIRTH is a Seattle group formed in 2003 by Dave Webb and Peijman Kouretchian. It remains active and is associated with grindcore, goregrind, mincecore, math rock and progressive metal.

History

The band’s output begins with Living in Truth, its first record, which appears in 2005. In 2006, the lineup includes Dave and Peijman alongside Mark and Blaine from the Swarming Hordes. Keyboardist Andrew McInnis joins in 2005. The group later releases Sleeper, Awaken! through Web of Mimicry Records on 18 July 2008, and another album recorded by the later lineup appears on Trademark Recordings in 2009.
