Girls Names is a post-punk band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The group forms in 2009 and is active until 2019. It begins as a two-piece made up of singer, guitarist and songwriter Cathal Cully and drummer Neil Brogan.

Line-up

Claire Miskimmin joins on bass in 2010, and Philip Quinn, formerly of Charles Hurts, is added on guitar in 2012. Neil Brogan leaves in 2013 and is replaced on drums by Gib Cassidy. The listed members also include Sarah Grimes.

Releases

The band releases three albums: Dead to Me in 2011, The New Life in 2013, and Arms Around a Vision in 2015. The New Life appears on Tough Love Records in Europe and Slumberland Records in the US, while Arms Around a Vision is issued on Tough Love Records. The group also releases several EPs, singles and split singles on labels including Captured Tracks and CF Records.
