girlpuppy is the project of Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Becca Harvey. Born in 1999, Harvey is associated with indie pop and alternative-leaning indie music. She says she grew up wanting to be Hannah Montana or Taylor Swift, although her own music takes a different direction from those early influences.

Recording and releases

After the track For You gains attention, Harvey works with Marshall Vore, who is associated with Phoebe Bridgers, on her debut EP Swan. Her debut album, When I'm Alone, appears on Royal Mountain Records.
