Gina Birch

Gina Birch is an English musician and filmmaker from Nottingham, United Kingdom. Born in 1955, she is best known as a founding member of the post-punk band The Raincoats. Her work is associated with alternative rock, dub, experimental music and noise rock.

Solo work

Birch releases her debut solo single, “Feminist Song”, and later issues her debut solo album, I Play My Bass Loud. The album appears after more than 40 years of activity as a musician.

She is also a member of The Hangovers and The Red Krayola.
