Ghost Iris

Ghost Iris is a progressive metalcore group from Copenhagen, Denmark, active since 2012. It is a quartet formed by musicians with backgrounds in a number of Danish bands that have had an impact on the Danish and wider European metal scene, including As We Fight, Shaped Like Swans, Road to Manila and A Sheltering Sky.

The group forms after earlier projects fade away, with a stated aim of making music that is distinct within Danish metal. Its sound is described as aggressive, atmospheric, epic and hard-hitting, and it sits within progressive metalcore, with related tags including djent, metalcore, progressive metalcore and math metal.

Ghost Iris records its material with producer Jeppe Andersson, who has worked with Amaranthe, Raunchy, Mew, Volbeat, Cold Night for Alligators and Invisius. The group’s debut single is Dreamless State, issued on Beheading the Traitor.
