GFOTY

GFOTY is the stage name of Polly-Louisa Salmon, a British pop singer from London born in 1990. The name is an abbreviation of Girlfriend of the Year. Her music is associated with bubblegum bass and pop, and she also appears in electronic and experimental contexts.

Career

GFOTY releases music through Pretty Wavvy and is closely associated with PC Music, through which she puts out music from 2014 to 2018. Her independent debut single is Boy Next Door, which appears in 2018. Much of her best-known work takes the form of mini-mixes.

After a break from solo material, GFOTY returns to solo music in 2024 with the singles CONGRATS.. and YOU CARE.
