George Privatti
George Privatti is a Barcelona-based DJ and producer associated with house, tech house, techno, minimal and schranz. He grows up in a small village near Barcelona and first becomes involved with electronic music at 17, when he buys his first decks. His early style is shaped by local rave parties, and he also plays at some of those events.
Career
He performs in clubs including Florida (Boite 135), Row 14 in Viladecans, KGB in Barcelona and Zoom in Lloret de Mar. In these settings he shares bills with artists such as Carl Cox, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Vitalic, Cristian Varela, Marco Bailey, Felix Kroecher, Umek, Ken Ishii, Pascal F.E.O.S., Chris Liberator, Slam, Lee van Dowski and Raul Mezcolanza.
In 2009 he begins concentrating on his own productions, aiming for techno with fresh, danceable sounds. His tracks attract attention from labels, and he releases a number of EPs and songs on labels linked to the hard-groove techno scene.
Labels
In 2010 he launches his own label, Privatti Records, focused on hard-groove and techno. A year later he starts Krapula Muzik, moving further into tech house. He is then described as being fully involved in the tech house scene.
