Genix is the recording name of Damion Houchen, a British trance DJ and producer from the United Kingdom. He works in trance and has also been associated with progressive trance and uplifting trance.
He begins producing records at a young age and secures his first record deal at 18. He builds a career as a DJ across the UK and internationally, with his productions receiving support from major trance DJs. He also sets up his own record label.
Genix remixes tracks for Pulser, Jan Johnston, Markus Schulz, M.I.K.E, Agnelli & Nelson and JFK. He also contributes a rework of Red Hot Chili Peppers' “Waiting For”, which is played at festivals including Global Gathering, Gatecrasher SS, Colorsfest and Radio 1 Big Weekend, and is signed to Spinnin Records after receiving repeated plays on BBC Radio 1 from Judge Jules.
He holds a Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set, with an 84-hour performance. JFK supports his development and later describes him as a possible future Passion resident.
