Generate

Generate is an electronic music producer and DJ from the Netherlands, associated with drum and bass and related electronic styles. He is born in The Hague and develops an early interest in music production software, with drum and bass as one of his influences. During his first year at Johan de Wit College in Scheveningen, he takes part in a workshop using Reason, which leads him to the Haags Pop Centrum. He appears on the first compilation CD from the Hague label Antilounge.

He later studies graphic design at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, but continues making electronic music. He also appears on a later Antilounge CD together with his brother, who handles the visuals for that release. In performance, he uses a laptop running Ableton and a MIDI keyboard for live playing and effects processing.
