General Waste

General Waste is an electronic artist from London, UK, working in DJ and production contexts shaped by the UK free party scene. He begins in UK hip-hop before moving into electronic music through Brighton and other parts of the UK, where contact with new genres and artists leads him into DJing and then into producing music for the dancefloor.

His music centres on amen-heavy jungle with a strong reggae influence, while also drawing on other styles including bass music and hardtek. His approach is described as recycling music into other music, reflecting his use of different sources and genres in his sets and productions.

General Waste is part of the collective that runs Erisian, a long-running Brighton night focused on breakcore, jungle, drum and bass and hardtek. His debut release is Straight Outta The Recycling Centre E.P., issued on Unjustified Records.
