Gasper Nali is a Malawian musician from Mzimba District in northwestern Malawi. He begins his musical career in 1998, teaching himself to play the babaton, a self-made traditional Malawian instrument with one string that is played using a hammer and slide.

In 2002, he moves from Mzimba to Nkata Bay, where he performs live for audiences at local venues. His work is associated with Malawian folk and popular styles, and his performances centre on the babaton and its traditional sound.
