Ganser
Ganser are a United States alternative rock group from Chicago. They work across post-punk, indie rock, noise rock, art rock, dance and electronic textures, and their sound is described in terms of jagged, darkly comic songs and art-punk intensity.
Style and themes
The band’s writing often deals with self-improvement, frustration and change, with a focus on the tension between trying to grow and becoming something unfamiliar. Their songs are noted for confronting ugliness and confusion rather than smoothing them over, and for using non-male voices to address subjects that some listeners may not expect from that perspective.
Just Look at That Sky
Ganser’s LP Just Look at That Sky is issued on Felte Records. It is co-produced with Mia Clarke and engineered by Brian Fox. The record is presented as a fully realised statement from the band, with the group focusing on making art amid a sense of disorder around them.
Line-up and recording credits
The group is identified as a quartet. Mia Clarke contributes to the production of Just Look at That Sky, alongside engineer Brian Fox.
