Gammer

Gammer is the stage name of Matt Lee, a British hardcore DJ and producer from the United Kingdom. He first appears in the hardcore scene in 2002 and becomes known for a large and prolific catalogue in UK hardcore and happy hardcore.

His work is closely associated with the revived Essential Platinum label, where a substantial part of his output appears. Many of those tracks are collaborations with the label founder Dougal, and he also releases solo material on his own label, Muffin Music. He also works with other artists including Hixxy and Darren Styles.

Gammer begins his producing career in hard dance before moving into hardcore, and he also produces hard dance tracks under his own name, Matt Lee. His music appears on a range of albums, including the Bonkers compilation series. He is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in UK hardcore.

In April 2007, he starts Muffin Music and releases a promotional mix for the label. He wins Hardcore DJ of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and in 2010 he and Dougal win Best Hardcore Producers. He is also thought to produce for Baked Potato Records, where he releases singles under the name Anon.
