Gabriella Bongo

Gabriella Bongo is a writer, producer and DJ from London, associated with house, electronic music, drum and bass and R&B. She comes from South London and is born in 2004.

She starts producing music at the age of 9 using GarageBand, and is self-taught on piano. She later graduates from ICMP London’s sound engineering programme. Her work focuses on catchy, melodic tracks shaped by authentic, lived experience, with an emphasis on songwriting and emotional connection.

Bongo draws on the soulful side of drum and bass and cites influences including Rudimental and Chase & Status. Since her debut single in December 2020, she gains attention through BBC 1Xtra’s Track of the Week and through being selected as Hospital Records’ Women In Drum and Bass mentee.

She is known for writing material that helps vocalists from different genres work effectively over drum and bass productions. Her writing credits include songs with Liam Bailey and other emerging artists. Her live performances include appearances at O2 Academy Islington, Rock City in Nottingham and Hospitality On The Beach in Croatia.
