Fuzzy Lights

Fuzzy Lights are a Cambridge-based group formed in 2004. Their music spans dream pop, folk, indie folk, noise rock, psychedelic folk and psychedelic rock, and they are also associated with post-rock, experimental and violin-led arrangements.

Releases

Their debut album, A Distant Voice, is described as a near-instrumental release. In 2010 they put out their second album, Twin Feathers, which brings together pastoral psych-folk and noise-rock. That record receives critical attention, including being named Underground Album of the Month by Mojo and earning four-star reviews in Uncut and Artrocker.

Several tracks from Twin Feathers feature on BBC 6Music shows. The band later records new material live to tape at a Limehouse studio, and this work appears on Rule of Twelfths, released in 2013. That album is described as their most direct statement and as carrying echoes of earlier pop songwriting.

Activity and performances

After writing new material in 2011, Fuzzy Lights continue as an active group. In 2010 they also perform at the End of the Road Festival.
