Future Utopia

Future Utopia is the moniker used by producer and artist Fraser T Smith. Under this name, he releases his debut album, 12 Questions, a project built around twelve broad questions that reflect his own anxieties about the world. The album addresses faith, freedom, race, gender, wealth, equality and ecology, and places Fraser in the foreground rather than behind other artists.

Collaborations and guest appearances

12 Questions features a wide range of contributors from across British music and culture, including Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Ghetts, Bastille, Es Devlin, Simon Armitage and Idris Elba. The record is presented as a collaborative release with a large cast of guests rather than a conventional solo album.

Work as Fraser T Smith

Fraser T Smith has an established career as a producer, writer and collaborator. He co-writes and produces Adele’s Grammy-winning single Set Fire To The Rain. He also works on Stormzy’s debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, writes on and produces Heavy Is The Head, and contributes to Dave’s Mercury Prize-winning debut album Psychodrama. He also accompanies Dave for a performance of Black at the BRIT Awards.
