Full Tilt

Full Tilt is the Irish dance music act Scott Clausen and Torri. The pair have been active together since 1995 and first release under the Full Tilt name arrives in 2006, when they release material as Timmy & Tommy. They are known as producers and DJs with a sound spanning progressive house and progressive trance, and they also operate the record label Full Tilt Recordings.

Record label and releases

Full Tilt Recordings launches in 2008, and the duo’s first single on the label appears that same year. The label quickly becomes a notable part of Irish club culture, with a release schedule focused on a broad range of progressive house and progressive trance from Ireland and further afield. Their work as A&R is also highlighted as an important part of the project, with a reputation for spotting new talent.

Awards and recognition

Full Tilt wins Best New Artists at the Irish Dance Music Awards in 2008. The project also wins Best Single for “Full Tiltin” in 2009. Full Tilt Recordings wins Best Label at the Irish Dance Music Awards in 2009 and 2010. The pair are also nominated in several other categories over a period of years.

Style and reputation

The act is described as avoiding a fixed genre box, with productions and label releases taking in a wide range of dance music. Their work receives support from DJs including Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn, Tiesto, Marco V, Paul Oakenfold and Carl Cox. They are regarded as established figures in Irish dance music and as producers with both technical and curatorial strengths.
