Full Nelson

Full Nelson

Full Nelson is a name used by several different acts, including hardcore, punk rock and hip hop artists from different places. One version is a four-piece hardcore band from Northern Virginia that plays fast hardcore. It forms in 2004, releases a demo and a 7-inch on Sikeout! Records, and later breaks up. This band also plays with 86 Mentality, Agnostic Front, Blacklisted, Donnybrook, The Hate Crimes, Bail Out!, Van Damage, Blank Stare and The Spark.

Another Full Nelson is a punk rock band from West Auckland, New Zealand. Its first show is with The Bleeders at Brewer's Bar in Mount Maunganui, and it goes on to support touring acts including Most Precious Blood, Lagwagon, Madball, Terror, Strung Out, Death by Stereo and NOFX. Its lineup includes former members of Bite The Curb, Smooth Jimmies and Deja Voodoo.

A third artist uses the name Full Nelson, or Full Nelson El Manzanero, as a hip hop act from New York City with Dominican family roots. He is described as a Latino hip hop artist who develops an audience independently and with support from grassroots Latino hip hop groups.

A fourth Full Nelson is a hardcore band from Northwest Indiana. It releases a self-titled debut EP in 2025.
