Fukpig

Fukpig are a United Kingdom-based group active since 2001. They play black metal, d-beat and grindcore, and describe their music as “necropunk”.

Background

The band forms as a side project in 2001, created by members of Mistress and Anaal Nathrakh. Their line-up includes Misery. They are based in Birmingham in the UK.

Style and themes

Their lyrics mainly concern war and political issues, with particular attention to the invasion of the Middle East. Their sound combines crust, black metal and grindcore elements, along with d-beat.

Recordings and activity

Fukpig pause in 2004 because of commitments to their main bands, then regroup in 2008 to record Spewings From a Selfish Nation. After that they play a limited number of shows across the UK and record the album Belief Is The Death Of Intelligence and the EP Batcave Full Of Bastards. They return in 2018 to play Damnation Festival and release Bastards.
