Fujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter who records for Universal Sigma. He is born in 1997 in Satosho, Okayama, Japan, and is one of four brothers. As a child, he listens to a wide range of music including jazz, classical, pop and enka, and this broad background shapes his later work.

He begins posting piano and vocal cover videos on his personal YouTube channel at the age of 12, and those uploads attract more than 30 million views. During his high school years he pauses posting to concentrate on musical study, then returns to YouTube after graduating. In early 2019 he moves to Tokyo.

His debut single, “何なんw (What)”, appears in 2019, followed later that year by “もうええわ (I'm over it)”. Each single is later reissued digitally with its own EP, and the EPs include cover versions that are available for download on Apple Music. In January 2020 he is named one of Spotify’s “Early Noise 2020” Top 10 Breaking Artists.
