Fugative

Fugative is a UK rap and hip-hop artist from the United Kingdom. He begins making music at a young age, first spending time in Darren Martyn’s studio when he is seven. By his mid-teens, he is already recording and developing a style described as hip-pop, blending rap, hip-hop and pop influences.

Career

His early career includes work with a number of established UK artists, including Kele Le Roc, Johnny Douglas and Darren Hayes. He also attracts interest from US music industry executive Kirk Burrowes, who has previously managed Mary J Blige and co-owned Bad Boy-related businesses.

Fugative also gains attention from media and radio figures in the UK, with support mentioned from Music Week, You magazine, Teen Now and radio DJs including Nick Grimshaw.

Recordings and remixes

One of the tracks associated with his name is “Supafly”, which is remixed by Tek-One and included on The Sound Of Dubstep, a compilation by Ministry of Sound. This links his work to the dubstep scene as well as to his main rap and pop-leaning material.
