Frontliner is the stage name of Barry Drooger, a Dutch hardstyle DJ and producer from Amsterdam. Born in 1984, he works in dance, electronic and hardstyle music and is also associated with jumpstyle, hardcore and happy hardcore.

Career

Drooger begins producing in 2005 under the alias Abject. He later records as Frontliner from 2008 and works at Scantraxx. His production style is noted for its versatility within hardstyle.

With Headhunterz, he creates the tracks “Scantraxx Rootz” and “End Of My Existence”. He performs on major hardstyle stages including Defqon.1 and Reverze.

Labels and later work

In 2012, Frontliner leaves Scantraxx and founds his own label, Keep It Up. He continues to build his profile in the hard dance scene with tracks including “Never Come Down”, “I’m The Melodyman” and “Halos”, the last of which features John Harris. He is also released on This Is Hardstyle.

Other activity

Outside his own releases, he spends time supporting animal-related volunteer projects and teaching aspiring producers. He also remains active in direct contact with fans.
