Frida Sundemo

Frida Anna Carina Sundemo is a singer-songwriter, producer and actor from Gothenburg, Sweden. Born in 1986, she works in electropop and synthpop with folktronica influences, using a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments.

Career

Sundemo releases music under her own name and is associated with a sound that combines light melodic writing with darker subject matter. Her debut album, Dear, Let It Out, is released in June 2010. In 2013 she releases the EP Indigo, which includes the tracks “Snow” and “Home”.

Her international debut album, Flashbacks & Futures, is released via Cosmos Music and includes the singles “We Are Dreamers” and “It’s OK”, as well as “Gold”, “Stay Young”, “Circles” and “Keep An Eye On Me”. The album also includes the title track and “Astronaut”. Her music is described through references to Scandinavian synth textures, orchestral elements and a strong focus on melody and production.

Other work

In 2015, Sundemo makes her acting debut in the British film Kill Your Friends.
