Freedom Fighters
Freedom Fighters is a rock band and progressive psytrance project associated with Shahaf (Sean) Efrat. The act starts in 2006 and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Its sound draws on psytrance while also taking influence from other genres, and it sits within psytrance, psychedelic, full on and psy-trance contexts.
Career
From its beginnings in Tel Aviv, Freedom Fighters builds a profile in international electronic dance music and appears on major festival stages in a range of countries, including Electric Daisy Carnival in the United States, Hadra Festival in France, Maitreya Festival in Australia, Playground Festival in Brazil, The Gathering in Japan, Ommix’s Atmosphere Festival in Mexico and Groove Attack in Israel.
The project works with and remixes a number of established artists, including Astrix, Simon Patterson, Ace Ventura and Skazi. One of the best-known results is the track “Marshmallows” with Captain Hook. A remix of Simon Patterson’s “Dissolve” brings wider attention and leads to a feature on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance.
Releases
Freedom Fighters has five Beatport number one releases. Its album Rebel comes out on HOMmega and reaches number one on Beatport for multiple weeks.
