Freakpower

Freakpower are a band founded by Norman Cook, also known as Fatboy Slim, and Ashley Slater. Their music combines acid jazz with funk and soul, and also includes trip-hop influences.

Releases

The group releases two albums: Drive Thru Booty and More Of Everything For Everybody. Drive Thru Booty appears in 1995 and includes the single Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out, which becomes a hit. The follow-up album appears in 1996, and its track Song #6 is later featured in the film Code 46.

Later activity

Freakpower breaks up after extensive touring. Norman Cook then focuses on his solo project Fatboy Slim. Some tracks intended for a rumoured follow-up to More Of Everything For Everybody are later reworked for Ashley Slater’s solo release Big Lounge.
