FREAK

FREAK is the indie punk project of Connar Ridd from Chelmsford, Essex. It begins as a solo act before expanding into a band lineup with Jonn Downham on bass and Sam Mumford on drums. The project releases two EPs as a solo vehicle, What Happened? in 2016 and I Like To Smile When I’m Sad in 2017, then follows with No Money No Honey Shit Job Not Funny later in 2017 after the additional members join.

The act is associated with punk, punk rock, rap, rock and rapcore, though its main description is as an indie punk band. After performing and recording under the name FREAK, Ridd and Downham continue as Creature Cult, having briefly used the name Sour in between.
