Fraser

Fraser is a four-piece indie folk band from London, active since 2009. Its music sits within folk and pop, and the group is also described as an indie act with acoustic elements.

Releases and reception

The band’s first release, Lay It On The Line, attracts attention from BBC Radio 6 presenters Lemacq and Tom Robinson, Jim Gellatly of Amazing Radio, and Tom Robinson’s BBC6 support circuit. It is also playlisted alongside The Kooks and Vampire Weekend on the Hollister playlist, where it receives wider attention in the US and internationally. The follow-up album, A Garden At The Top Of The Tree, also receives positive reviews from independent music blogs.

Collaborations

Fraser writes songs with Tom Odell, who is a fan of the band’s music. Odell also plays piano on Fraser’s song “No Don’t Wait”.
