Francesca Beard is a performance poet and lyricist born in Kuala Lumpur and raised in Penang. She lives in London.

Work and touring

She tours with the British Council in Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Colombia, and works extensively as a workshop leader, particularly in schools. Her one-woman show, Chinese Whispers, is presented in conjunction with Apples and Snakes and Jericho Productions.

Writing

Her work appears in magazines and anthologies. She also publishes a self-published collection, Cheap, which reaches its fifth imprint.
