Fox Stevenson

Fox Stevenson is the stage name of Stanley Stevenson Byrne, an electronic music producer from Leeds, United Kingdom. He is also known by the earlier alias Stan SB. His work focuses on drum and bass, dubstep and related electronic styles, and it includes dancefloor drum and bass, melodic dubstep and dubstep.

Style and early development

Stevenson begins making electronic music in the early 2000s and makes his first release on Newgrounds. He starts producing music under the Fox Stevenson name in 2008. His sound is described as “hyper melodic drum and bass, dubstep and breaky stuff”, and he performs most of his own vocals. His music sits between club-focused production and singer-songwriter writing, with influences that also draw on pop-punk.

Career

He first gains wider attention through the YouTube music community and later through the drum and bass label Liquicity, where one of his earlier tracks as Stan SB, “Cloudhead”, is featured. In 2014 he announces his own label, Cloudhead Records, and releases the EP All This Time on it the same year. His debut album, Killjoy, follows in 2019.

Collaborations and live work

Stevenson also performs live band sets with fellow artist Bustre. His catalogue and performances combine electronic production with live vocals and band-oriented presentation.
