Fonzo is a UK bass music producer from Birmingham, England, with a style rooted in UK garage. He grows up around music, including musicians in his family, and begins performing at the age of eight. Over time, his work develops into a sound that combines soulful emphasis with elements associated with UK urban music and Jamaican culture, alongside eclectic production.

Early years and name changes

Alongside music, Fonzo shows an early interest in reading and creative writing, and begins writing short stories for leisure. As a young performer, he first uses the stage names P-Money and, at times, Young Money. After several releases, he starts recording under the single-name mononym Fonzo, which he says reflects his character more fully.

Fonzo’s music is described as storytelling-led, drawing on travel and cultural experience. His approach gains him an underground following after the release of independent mixtapes, and he builds connections with figures including Sha Money XL, Tim Westwood, and No Limit Forever Records connected to Percy “Master P” Miller. Outside music, Fonzo founds Bout Dat Tv and holds credits in film, poetry and fashion. He also takes a role in community work and serves as head of talent relations for New Scene Wrestling, a UK professional wrestling company.
