Follow You Home

Follow You Home are a UK rock and post-hardcore group from Derby, England. They form in 2010 and are active from 2011 onwards. The line-up includes Kayley Busby on vocals, Nick Ayre on guitar and vocals, Mikey Davis on guitar, Rich Davis on bass and vocals, and Tom Bradshaw on drums.

Formation and style

The band starts with school friends Rich Davis and Nick Ayre, who begin writing and playing melodic, punk-tinged songs built around direct, real-life lyrics. Rich’s brother Mikey Davis and mutual friend Tom Bradshaw join on guitar and drums, and the group then bring in Kayley Busby as lead vocalist. Their sound draws on guitar-based bands and is shaped by influences including Alexisonfire, Brand New, Alkaline Trio and Bayside. Their songs mix honesty, frustration and hope, with lyrics that focus on everyday life rather than abstract themes.

Releases and activity

Their debut single, Once Upon A Lie, receives video play on Lava TV, and the band reach the top five of Kerrang! Magazine’s Slam Dunk competition. They work on a four-track EP and tour extensively across the UK’s pub and club circuit, playing numerous shows in support of their music. They also use a YouTube channel to share studio progress and updates, and maintain a Facebook presence.

Later status

The group announce a final show for 31 October 2014, but they continue to appear intermittently as headliners at local venues in their hometown.
