Föllakzoid

Föllakzoid are a Chilean group from Santiago, active since 2007, known for a style rooted in krautrock, psychedelic rock, neo-psychedelia, space rock and stoner rock. The project is now based around Ives Sepulveda.

Sound and development

The group’s music centres on repetition, trance-like rhythms and long-form exploration. Their early releases, Föllakzoid (2009), II (2013) and III (2015), build on psychedelic rock, krautrock and electronic elements, with extended improvisation and jam-based structures. Later work, including I (2019) and V, adds more electronic and techno influences while keeping the same immersive approach.

Collaborations and performances

Föllakzoid collaborate with musicians including J. Spaceman of Spiritualized and Atom™. They also tour internationally and appear at festivals such as Primavera Sound, Levitation, Roadburn, Desert Daze and Roskilde.
