FOKN Bois

FOKN Bois are a Ghanaian group based between London and Accra, active since 2009. The duo consists of M3NSA and Wanlov the Kubolor, and works in afrobeats and hiplife.

Career

They are known for their pidgin musical Coz Ov Moni, described as the first of its kind. Their work is closely associated with Afropop and hiplife, and they have performed with artists including Snoop Dogg, Sway, Femi Kuti, Little Brother, Irie Maffia and The Gorillaz.

FOKN Bois receive GUBA and 4SYTE awards. They have also been interviewed by BBC Radio 1, BBC 1XTRA and BBC World Service, and featured in publications including Arise, FAB and Canoe.

Recordings and recognition

Their release FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest is remixed by a range of global house and bass acts. They are often compared with duos such as Outkast, Red & Meth and LMFAO.
