Foghorn Leghorn
Foghorn Leghorn is a ska group formed in March 2007. The project begins with Jerome Twigg on trombone and Sam Tapner on trumpet, and the line-up then develops through a series of additions and changes that establish the band’s early identity.
Formation and line-up
James Haigh joins after answering an advert for a ska drummer and becomes the band’s drummer. Zach White is later recruited on bass after James suggests him as a replacement for the original bassist, who does not appear. Sammy joins on tenor saxophone, adding a horn section to the group, and guitarist Nick later leaves. Shane then joins on guitar, completing the line-up described in the biography. The group is based around the members’ shared interest in ska and horn-led arrangements.
Early activity
The band’s first gig takes place at Shed 5, marking the start of its live activity. From there, the group continues writing music and building its presence as a ska act.
