Fofoulah

Fofoulah is a London-based group active since 2011. It brings together Senegalese voice, West African rhythms, dub basslines, sci-fi synths, raw guitars and driving grooves. The group has members from Senegal, the UK and The Gambia, and its line-up includes Tom Challenger and Dave Smith.

The band’s sound draws on jazz, African music and psychedelic elements, with vocal-led arrangements and a strong rhythmic focus. Its members also have links to Juju, Robert Plant presents, Sensational Space Shifters, Irok and Red Snapper.
