Floya

Floya is a German duo from Recklinghausen, active since 2022. The group consists of Marvin Bruckwilder and Phil Bayer, and works in alternative rock, electronic rock and rock. Its sound combines rock band dynamics with stomping electronic beats, airy synths and elements associated with EDM and world music, with a pop-rock focus.

The two members form the project around shared early influences, including Peter Gabriel, U2 and Sting. They build their music around a crossover between modern rock and electronic textures rather than a conventional band format.

Floya first draws wider attention with the single “The Hymn”. The track appears in an official Australian Football League game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian television. The duo also receives airplay on Kerrang! Radio in the UK and Radio Contact in Belgium.
