Floxytek

Floxytek is a French hard techno and modern hardtek artist. He also works in related styles including hardtek, frenchcore, tribecore and acid tekno, and is identified as a solo act with Fant4stik listed as a member.

Background

Floxytek grows up between the south of France and the Normandy coast, where he listens to hip hop before becoming drawn to techno in his late teens. That discovery becomes a turning point for Florian, for whom music becomes a central part of life.

Production and equipment

He begins by working with decks and then with machines such as Groovebox, Korg and MPC units, before moving on to computer-based production with MAO and the Virus synthesiser.

Releases and labels

In 2003 he creates the Marsatek crew with close friends. His first production LP, Moloko 04, is signed by the Kryzalide label. After that, his work appears on a range of labels, including French Tribe As.

Live work

Floxytek performs at major venues in Europe and gains recognition for his live sets. He appears at Nordik Impakt, and Electromind Festival invites him to its European events. Since 2005 he performs in Italy, Belgium, Poland, England and Spain.

Other projects

In 2007 he and his friends create the label Teklicit Marsatek, extending the Marsatek project into record production.
