Flowers

Flowers is a group from Austin, United States, and the name is used by more than one act. One version is the original incarnation of the Australian new wave group Icehouse, which forms in Sydney in 1977 and releases the album Icehouse under the name Flowers in 1980. Later overseas editions of that album credit Icehouse as the artist.

Another Flowers is a trio made up of Sam, Rachel and Jordan. After meeting in 2012, they move in together in London and begin practising and writing pop songs there. Their live sets combine energetic fuzz pop with more stripped-back passages, eventually moving into a solo section with Rachel playing a one-stringed bass.

A third act with the same name is a female duo from Amsterdam, Netherlands, known for a bleak, minimal sound with stoner doom influences. They release a self-titled EP in 2018 and the debut LP Doom City in 2019, and their music is compared with artists such as Acid King and Windhand.
