Floral Image is a Norwich-based group active since 2019. The band plays alternative rock and is also associated with electronica, neo-psychedelia, psychedelic pop, psychedelic rock and rock. It is described as a Norwich psych rock band and is rooted in the city’s alternative and psychedelic scene.

The group is based in Norwich and presents itself as an East Anglian act with a strong local identity. Its members describe the band as having a slight Norfolk accent and as being “Anglian through and through”, with references to a yellow and green heart and a mustard soul. The band also frames its ambitions around building an “East Coast” psych rock scene and playing across Norfolk and Suffolk, including places such as King’s Lynn, Diss, Dereham and Stowmarket.

Floral Image is featured on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 Introducing show for Norwich, which places it within the city’s emerging independent music circuit.
