Float is the solo electronic project of Dutch techno producer Alex Dijksterhuis, from the Netherlands. The project blends techno, trance, house, dub, ambient and minimalistic elements into an electronic style built around deep basslines, shifting abstract sound effects, digitally modulated leads, glitches, spacey pads and dubby chords.

Before Float, Dijksterhuis runs the earlier project Phasetech, which focuses on harder tech-trance beats and is active until 2009. Float begins in 2008 as a new outlet for his music and develops a sound that moves between several strands of electronic production.
