FLO

FLO is a British girl group from London, formed in 2019 and active since then. The trio consists of Jorja Douglas, Renée Downer, and Stella Quaresma. Their music is mainly pop and R&B, and their style draws on 1990s and 2000s R&B and hip-hop.

Career

FLO debut in 2022 with the single "Cardboard Box". In the same year they release their first EP, The Lead, followed by 3 of Us in 2023. The group becomes a Grammy-nominated act and builds an audience through a series of singles that show different sides of their sound.

Singles and albums

In 2024, FLO release "Walk Like This", a track that gains traction on TikTok through dance videos. They follow it with "Caught Up", which has a slower, guitar-led sound, then "Check", a faster pop song, and "Bending My Rules", which returns to a 1990s and 2000s R&B influence. They also release "AAA" as the lead single from their debut album, Access All Areas, which comes out in 2024. The album includes "In My Bag" featuring GloRilla and "Soft", and is followed by a tour documented in episodes on YouTube.

Later activity

FLO continue with work toward a second album, THERAPY AT THE CLUB, led by the single "Leak It". Their videos often reference earlier girl-group and R&B traditions, including comparisons drawn between "Cardboard Box" and acts such as TLC and Destiny's Child.
